General Guide – Depth Chart
There are three depth positions on every Hook'em Holloway lure. (Shallow running lures have only two positions.) The deepest setting is the lip pin hole closest to the body of the lure.
Cedar lures are unique, so please keep this in mind. Each will run slightly differently due to different wood densities.
When trolling at 3.5 mph, a Hook'em Holloway lure will begin to exhibit its true wondering and searching action. Trolling speeds of 3.5 mph to 5.5 mph are optimal for Hook'em Holloway lures. It is best to use shallow-running lures between 2.9 mph and 3.5 mph.
These general running depths are based off using 100lb Power Pro braided line at a trolling speed of 4 mph. (Shallow running lures at 3 mph.)
